If money was not a factor you would probably not see me in one place. I love traveling so much. But sadly money is a factor. You have to always choose between things on which you will be spending it. So this April when I was craving to move out of the cities and to the hills all I was looking at was my bank balance and that I had been saving for something I wanted to buy. So I just dropped the plan to travel. While spending my time through the social media I came across this: And that's when it was decided that I need to move out of this city and take a break. So here in this blog, I will list down all the places that I visited in this trip, the hidden gems and a break up of how much it costed me. Day 1: The biggest plus was that we had our own conveyance and thus booking tickets was not the issue. So in spite of being a spontaneous trip, we could manage to reach Nainital comfortably. We left Delhi early in the morning on the Good

Mariam Tomb - An underrated and under maintained monument in AGRA

Image
Agra is well known in the whole world for the beautiful 'Taj Mahal'- the tomb of Mumtaj Mahal made in her memory by her husband Shahjahan. Known as a symbol of Love, counted in the Wonders of the World (in fact rated the highest) , we don't even know for sure whether it was a symbol of love.  But not going into the Taj Mahal controversy, what I want to focus right now is another monument in the same city that most of us don't even know about - The Mariam Tomb. Otherwise Known as Jodha Bai (popularly) she was given the title of Mariam-uz-Zamani when she gave birth to Jahangir. She was amongst the most prodigious female traders at the Mughal court. No other noblewoman on record seems to have been as adventurous a trader as the Queen mother. As suggested by the name her nature was just like a mother, caring and loving, and thus righ

Taking little breaks from the busy life has become more important now than ever. In our everyday life, we are so engrossed in our job that we don't find any time to explore something new. Same chair, same laptop, same place and a lot of work on the table. That is what life has become. So when I decided to travel more my major aim was catching a break and finding some peace. When we think of traveling we think of mountains, beaches or some historic monuments. These are the things that qualify our bucket list. In the midst of these came a little surprise in the form of this little trip to Chandigarh. This time when I needed a break I wanted to make sure that I don't spend much on it. I wanted to spend the weekend having fun but I did not want to empty my pockets. So I decided to visit the city of gardens - Chandigarh.  While traveling from the railway station to my hotel the first thing that stunned me was the greenery around. There were so many tree
